Over 100 million emails in circulation per day in China (Xinhua)

“China’s Internet users send 46 million emails and receive 67 million each day, according to the latest figures provided by CCID Consulting, a think tank for the Ministry of Information Industry.

But nearly half of the emails in circulation are junk mail, according to CCID Consulting, also one of the leading domestic IT market research bodies.

By the end of last November, China’s Internet servers had received altogether 150 billion spam emails, according to the Internet Society for China (ISC). This accounted for 30 percent of the country’s total email. ”
