AFP used China Daily’s report in this news: “Lung cancer and traffic accidents have become the top causes of death in China, according to official research, reflecting the huge number of smokers and increasingly hazardous roads.

The study by the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was based on data gathered between 1991 and 2000 and found that lung cancer had replaced stomach cancer as the main cause of death among cancers, the China Daily said.”
