From the Russian Information Agency Novosti:
“Russia is China’s main strategic partner,” member of the Chinese State Council Tan Zixiang told Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Therefore, Russia is the first country with which China will hold regular interstate consultations in the security sphere, Mr. Tan Zixiang added.
“We made this decision because we share common positions on many international and regional issues, on international situation assessments, peacekeeping and world development,” he stressed.
