AP: Death toll rises to 63 in mine explosion

From AP, via The Globe and Mail:

Emergency crews in northern China on Monday pulled three more bodies from the site of a weekend coal mine explosion, bringing the death toll to 63 with six people still missing, the government said.

Only two weeks ago, China’s Premier Wen Jiabao has promised the state is to spend 3bn yuan ($362m; ¬£189m) to “truly make coal mining safe“.
