From The News-Gazette Online:

These Central High School students say they’ll always remember where they were when the Illini beat Arizona.

It was early Sunday morning at their Hong Kong hotel when they started following the score on Tom Bruno’s laptop. They abandoned the game when Illinois was down by 15 points with four minutes to go, to take a long-delayed tour with patient guide William Chu. After a quick trip through the city, they went to the top of Victoria Peak and found – an Internet cafe.

“I punch in the page, and there are 11 seconds to go in overtime and the Illini are one point ahead,” said Bruno, a Champaign attorney and chaperone for the spring break trip. “There was just time to gather everyone around, refresh the screen and see the final score. We were stunned. It’s something we’ll remember all our lives.”
