China, Pakistan Expect Another “Milestone” In Relationship: Pakistani Ambassador

From the People’s Daily Online:

The visit by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to Pakistan will be another milestone in the history of the two countries’ bilateral relations, according to Salman Bashir, Pakistan’s ambassador to China.

Wen will pay an official visit to Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India from April 5 to 12, with Pakistan as the first stop of his tour. Wen will be present at the 4th foreign ministers’ meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) to be held on April 6 in Islamabad.

Bashir expressed gratitude for the support and assistance of China to Pakistan, saying China has always followed the five principles of peaceful co-existence and neighborly policy in its foreign policy, and its interaction with south Asia is “a factor of peace and stability in the region and the world”.
