Kyodo News: Japan protests Beijing protest violence, China responds nagatively

From Kyodo News:

Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura summoned Chinese Ambassador Wang Yi on Sunday to lodge a formal protest and seek an apology for an anti-Japanese rally in Beijing that turned violent on Saturday and to compensate for damage done to the Japanese embassy and the Japanese ambassador’s residence in Beijing.

Commenting on the Japanese demand for an apology and compensation for property damage, Qin Gang, a Chinese Foreign Minister spokesman, said in Beijing on Sunday that China has no responsibility for what is happening in the current phase of China-Japan relations.
