KMT chairman meets ARATS chairman in China

From ETToday:

On Monday morning, KMT Chairman Lien Chan met up with the chairman of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), Wang Daohan and presented him with a painting created by the late, former chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) Ku Chen-fu. The two men praised the late SEF chairman for his contributions to cross-strait relations.

The ninety-year-old chairman of ARATS, Wang Daohan met with KMT chairman Lien Chan despite having checked-into a hospital for his worsening physical condition. Wang presented Lien with three gifts, one of which is a history of Taiwan in the form of traditional Chinese text, the official text used in Taiwan. In return, Lien presented Wang with a painting created by former SEF Chairman Ku Chen-fu, which Koo had promised to paint for Wang while he was alive, and along with a letter written by the late chairman’s widow.
