AAP: China seeks Aussie uranium: report

From amh.com.au:

Australia is negotiating conditions to export uranium to China.

The federal government has been holding talks with Beijing for weeks on a regime of safeguards that could kickstart a lucrative uranium export trade to China, The Weekend Australian reports.

Nuclear energy is banned in Australia but the issue is being hotly debated within government ranks as a way to meet the nation’s rising energy needs.

Australia earns more than $400 million a year exporting uranium for power generation overseas.
