China launches corruption website

2005122914544795 From Independence online:

China is putting its marathon anti-graft crackdown online, launching a Web site for the public to report corrupt officials, state media said Thursday.

The site adds to efforts to assure China’s public that the ruling Communist Party takes complaints seriously at a time when many say they face retaliation for reporting abuses.

The new site is run by the party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday.
