China urges world to support reconciliation in Myanmar – PTI

From The Hindu News:

Ahead of Myanmar Prime Minister Soe Win‘s maiden official visit, China on Tuesday urged the international community to play a constructive role in promoting national reconciliation in the neighbouring nation.

Announcing Win’s visit to China from February 14 to 18, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said the Myanmarese leader would be here at the invitation of Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao.

Asked to comment on the internal strife and detention of pro-democracy leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar, Kong said it was an internal affair of Yangon.
