Lien Chan, honorary chairman of the Nationalist Party in Taiwan, will meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao on April 16 with his visiting delegation of 60 Taiwan’s Pan-Blue political figures and business executives during their trip to the Mainland to attend the first Nationalist-Communist cross-Strait business and trade forum, according to an official of the Nationalist Party.
Lien will have an open-to-public discussion, and another closed-door meeting, with Hu in Beijing. This is his second visit to the Mainland after his ice-breaking trip there in April last year.
He will also go to a clothing tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sen at the Fragrant Hills in Beijing, visit Shanghai, Hangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen and Zhangzhou.
