London mayor pushes Sino ties – Xinhua

LONDON Mayor Ken Livingstone was all set yesterday for his trip to China – a visit designed to attract Chinese investors, tourists and students to his city.

Scheduled to arrive today, the mayor is leading a 70-member delegation from the business, education, tourism and creative communities. The week-long visit includes stops in Shanghai and Beijing.

During the trip, Livingstone will open the London Economic Development and Inward Investment office in Beijing and a representative office in Shanghai.
