…… But if you happen to be Chinese, the story is very different. China has invested about 300 million dollars in Zambia, mainly in the copper mining sector.
The Chinese are deeply unpopular and stand accused of underpaying their workers, ignoring safety rules and driving Zambian companies out of business with a flood of cheap and shoddy products.
