Good movies are based on solid and well-developed stories, not on sheer star power. That golden rule is badly violated in “Confession of Pain (‰º§Âüé)” the new thriller by directors Andrew Lau and Alan Mak of ” Infernal Affairs” fame.
At first glance, one cannot help but wonder if the casting choices for “Confession of Pain” are purely business-driven, with each actor catering to a particular east Asian market.
