Chinese Petrol Blast Kills Four – BBC News

An explosion at a petrol station in Shanghai , China, has killed four people, including a cyclist hit by debris one kilometre (0.6 miles) away. More than two dozen people were reported injured in the blast, including several passengers on a bus hit by shockwaves.

Two workers and an unidentified woman were also killed. Investigators have suggested that maintenance workers were to blame, the Xinhua state news agency said. The explosion in China’s principal commercial city blew out the windows of nearby buildings, Xinhua said. [Full Text]
