China Lashed Over Press Treatment

From Herald Sun:

The rebuke comes as China prepares to host the Beijing Olympics in two months, and will allow an unprecedented 18,000 foreign journalists into its secretive nation for the two weeks of the Olympics.

George Brock, president of the World Editors Forum, lashed China for jailing and intimidating journalists and harassing media freedom.
