Hexie Farm (蟹农场): Statue of Liberty, Chinese-style

For his latest contribution to the Hexie Farm CDT series, cartoonist Crazy Crab comments on tightening media controls in the wake of a leadership transition in Beijing. The “Statue of Liberty” is depicted as a panda displaying its allegiance to the all-mighty dollar. He holds aloft the flame of freedom while secretly killing free speech.
