Anti-Japan War Museum in Shenyang to Exhibit KMT leaders – Xinhua

It could be the first time that photos of Chiang Kai-shek have been exhibited in mainland China in a positive light after the Chinese Civil War. Chiang has been portrayed as a cruel warlord and shameless capitalist in China’s history textbooks in the past decades. Officials of the Chinese Communist Party started to change the tone of their remarks towards Chiang and his party since 2005, when the CCP adopted a new policy of partnering with KMT to deter Taiwan’s independence moves.
