The three Cs are about to meet the fourth C – China. And no matter what you feel – excitement, anger, apathy – about this month’s Olympic Games, there is no denying that they are absolutely a watershed moment.
The Beijing Olympics promise to be a merging of culture, politics, economy, sport, art and ideas. A singular moment in time for the world’s largest nation. A well-orchestrated extravaganza that China is determined to pull off without a hitch.
And the rest of the world will be watching to see if such a feat is actually possible.
