China starts drafting energy law – AFX

China has started drafting an energy law as part of efforts to meet the country’s energy demand in line with its rapid economic growth, the economic planning agency said.

In a statement on its website, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said the State Council has formed a task force charged with drafting an energy law so that China can be well-equipped to address ‘complicated and crucial energy matters.’
