Chinese director Wang Chao won the main sideline competition at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday with his movie “Luxury CarÔºà˱™ÂçéʱΩËΩ¶Ôºâ,” the conclusion of a trilogy about life in modern China.

The film stars Tian Yuan as a prostitute living in the central city of Wuhan, whose father begs her to help find her missing brother before their mother dies.

It was awarded the top prize in the “Un Certain Regard” section of the festival, which ended late Sunday with a glittering prize-ceremony for the main competition.
