Asia Computer Weekly reported from Hong Kong that Oracle has opened its second R&D facility in China, to offer more localised offerings to the Chinese and Japanese markets.
The China Development Centre (CDC) is located in Beijingís Zhongguancun Software Park. The first facility was opened in Shenzhen in June last year.
Beside Oracle, software giant Microsoft is also expected to announce a new research unit under its Microsoft Research Asia in Beijing soon.
