Straits Times journalist put on trial in Beijing – Goh Sui Noi

From Straits Times, via Asia Media:

After nearly 16 months in detention, Straits Times journalist Ching Cheong was put on trial by the Chinese authorities yesterday on charges of spying for Taiwan.

The closed-door trial, held at the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court, was wrapped up by the end of the day.

But no judgment or sentence was passed. Nor was there any indication when this might take place. [Full text]
