From Primezone.com: “The National Research Council of Canada – Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), with the support of the National Research Council of Canada – Canadian Police Research Centre (NRC-CPRC), the Canadian Embassy in Beijing, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, and the Beijing Municipal Government, are jointly organizing a security technology mission to China for September 20 thru 30, 2004. The mission will include two of China’s most important security markets: Beijing and Shanghai.
China’s demand for security technology is dramatically increasing with the organizing of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. The objective of the mission is to garner information on China’s demand for security technologies in general, specific information on security needs for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, and provide access to potential business partners and government officials for Canadian security technology firms interested in entering the Chinese market. The focus of the mission is to match Canadian security technology companies with qualified Chinese technology partners, agents, distributors, representatives, licensees, and clients in the security related sector. ”
