Anti-Japanese feeling growing in China, poll shows

From Yahoo News: “Anti-Japanese sentiment has grown in China over the past two years, with many citing Japan’s militarist past as reasons for their unfavorable view, a poll by a Chinese research institute showed Tuesday.

The opinion poll conducted by the Institute of Japanese Studies in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences earlier this year showed that 53.6 percent of respondents either had an unfavorable view or a very unfavorable view toward Japan, up 10.3 percentage points from a survey in 2002. ”
