From Financial Times: “China car industryThe expansion of China’s car market slowed significantly last year, with the rate of sales growth plunging to 15 per cent from 75 per cent in 2003.
Sales in the world’s third-largest auto market reached 2.3m in 2004, according to China’s Ministry of Commerce.
That compares with 2m in 2003, a sharp increase on the 1.2m sold in in 2002. Growth began levelling off last year, even as multinational carmakers rolled out ambitious multi-billion dollar expansion plans.”
