China calls for internet crackdown

Via Openflows Networks, from AFP: “Chinese authorities have called for greater surveillance of internet content claiming that the medium posed a serious danger to China’s people and culture. The latest issue of Seeking Truth, the Chinese Communist Party’s key political magazine, warned of the internet’s powerful influence on politics, economics, cultures, and society, which could harm the nation, the China News Service reported.”
