From Asia Times Online: “Almost two years after ascending the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) throne, the leadership of President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao has reordered China’s policy on Japan. In contrast to previous policies that always linked political and economic issues, Beijing’s new tactics now seem to separate the two distinctly and to be more pragmatic for the sake of China’s economic development and its need for Japan’s crucial and transferable high-technology inputs. ”
