China’s natural gas field exploration project in the East China Sea, which was found to have extended into an area claimed by Japan as its exclusive economic zone, inevitably will lead to a review of the government’s diplomatic policy toward China.
The latest findings show that unless Japan deals with China in a logical and well-thought-out manner, it cannot protect its national interests.
The government must review its diplomacy toward China, which is marked by an excessive desire for appeasement.”
