Carol Bellamy addressed government leaders, UN agency heads, programme partners, children and the media this morning at a Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and UNICEF cosponsored forum in Beijing on “A Decade of Achievement for Children”. She remarked on how they should all be proud of China’s achievements, adding that “when China achieves, the World achieves also.” Bellamy also spoke of how she had personally been honoured to witness some these achievements at first hand during her visits to China which had commenced with the Global Women’s Conference in 1995.
