Taiwan News: Use democracy to counter PRC ‘law’

From the Taiwan News Online:

China’s reckless attempt to unilaterally change the status quo in the Taiwan Strait by enacting a so-called “anti-secession” or, more accurately, “anti-separation” law has backfired in the wake of rising warnings of concern within the international community and intensifying opposition across the spectrum of Taiwan’s democratic society.

The “anti-secession” law to be passed by the People’s Republic of China’s rubber-stamp National People’s Congress today will define “red lines” for the use of force against Taiwan in the case of the rise of “Taiwan independence movements” or Taiwan’s hesitation to embrace ultimate unification and will give Beijing the sole “right” to define when these lines are “crossed.”
