Beijing police plan to install a network of “anti-terrorism cameras” in luxury hotels, a government newspaper reported Friday.

Police already operate a network of 90,000 video cameras throughout the Chinese capital that monitor traffic and can be used to follow individuals.

The plan for hotel cameras was unveiled at a meeting Wednesday of the Beijing police department, the China Daily newspaper reported.
