Rep. Lantos (D-California), a Holocaust survivor and human rights advocate, told the companies in a House of Representatives subcommittee on Wednesday, “Your abhorrent activities in China are a disgrace. I do not understand how your corporate executives sleep at night” (see Net Showdown in Washington).
He spoke with RedHerring.com about his impressions from the hearing, his expectations for the Internet companies, and his support for a new bill that would make some of their actions illegal.
