US secretary of commerce visits China on piracy – China News Agency

US secretary of commerce Carlos M. Gutiérrez is visitig Beijing to, again, raise concern about the lack of crack down on software piracy in major Chinese firms, among other issues.

Deputy Director of China’s National Copyright Administration said at a recent press conference held at the State Council Information Office that there has been a dramatic improvement of the situation on software piracy after a series of measures taken by the Chinese government. The copyright official discredited the accusation by some foreign organizations that piracy of software in China exceeds 90%.
