Taiwan failed to join the UN, which follows “One-China policy,” according to the UN. China is satisfied with the decision. From Bloomberg:

The United Nations rejected Taiwan’s application to join, citing adherence to the “one China” principle and the world body’s recognition of the People’s Republic of China.
