High-profile Chinese dissident Yang Jianli , freed after serving a five-year prison sentence for spying and illegally entering China, has returned to the United States, his lawyer said Monday. Yang , 44, a US permanent resident, returned to his home in Boston on Saturday via San Francisco from Beijing, accompanied by a US diplomat, said Jared Genser, of rights group Freedom Now and lawyer for Yang’s family.
