Video News: China Admits Olympic Build Deaths

According to Reuters, in 2007, a total of 101,480 Chinese died in workplace accidents — including 81,649 deaths from road accidents. China’s Olympics aquatic center, the “Water Cube,” opens as the government announces fatalities in its Olympic construction workforce. Reuters says that China has admitted that two workers have died rather than ten as reported. See also a BBC report which says China admitted six workers have died in Olympics construction since 2003.
