Here is a sneak preview of a student portion of Beijing’s much-ballyhooed national celebration on October 1st, marking the sixtieth anniversary of the People’s Republic and the leadership of the Communist Party. Beijing college students have been pulled away from online games and the job hunt to take part in the extravaganza, and they have been practicing for months on playing fields and campus greens across the city. I was flagged to this footage by an energetic newshound at an unnamed campus.
