Google: No Searching for Leaders’ Names in Chinese Blogosphere

Searching “” on Google’s Chinese blog search produces the message: “Your search results may be related to content which does not accord with relevant laws, regulations or policy, and therefore cannot be displayed.” (“搜索结果可能涉及不符合相关法律法规和政策的内容,无法显示.”)

In addition to Hu Jintao, the following names of Chinese leaders are also filtered keywords in Google’s Chinese blog search, according to Chinese bloggers’ report.

“Hu Jintao 胡锦涛、Wu Bangguo 吴邦国、Wen Jiabao 温家宝、Jia Qinglin 贾庆林、 李长春、Xi Jinping 习近平、Li Keqiang 李克强、He Guoqiang 贺国强、Zhou Yyongkang 周永康、Wang Lequan 王乐泉、Wang Qishan 王岐山、Li Qi 刘淇、Liu Yunshan 刘云山、Liu Yandong 刘延东、Li Yuanchao 李源潮、Zhang Gaoli 张高丽、Zhang Dejiang 张德江、Yu Zhengsheng 俞正声、 薄熙来.

The above nineteen names are all current members of CCP’s 25-member Politburo. But the following six names of Politburo members are currently not filtered in Google’s blog search:

Wang Gang 王刚, Wang Zhaoguo 王兆国, Hui Liangyu, 回良玉, Wang Yang 汪洋, Xu Caihou 徐才厚, Guo Boxiong 郭伯雄.
