Video and Photo: Beijing Temple Fairs

Temple Fairs (庙会) are one of the most traditional customs in China. Many Chinese cannot miss these events during the Spring Festival. In Beijing, Changdian (厂甸庙会)and Ditan(地坛庙会) fairs are two major ones for the Lunar New Year. People hang out there to eat traditional snacks, watch shows, and shop Beijing local goods.

There is a good video clip of the two Temple Fairs in Feb. 2007 in Beijing via Muzimei’s podcast. Please click to see or RIGHT click to save the link first and then watch.
