Today’s episode of PRI’s The World profiles the frequently house-arrested Tibetan blogger and activist Tsering Woeser, who along with her husband Wang Lixiong recently published the book Voices From Tibet: Selected Essays and Reportage. Amid a wave of Tibetan protests by self-immolation, Woeser has called for Tibetans to cease the practice, and has been diligently keeping record of immolators and documenting the repressive atmosphere in Tibetan regions of China on her blog (English translations of many of her posts can be found at High Peaks Pure Earth).
