Bangladesh and China have agreed to cooperate in the field of water resources, utilize and protect water resources of transnational rivers in the region upholding the principles of equality and fairness. This was stated in a joint communique issued on Friday afternoon at the end of a two-day official visit of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan read out salient features of the four-page joint communique to journalists at the VVIP Lounge of ZIA International airport.
