Singapore’s founding father Lee Kuan Yew said heated disputes between China and Japan were unlikely to lead to war, a newspaper reported yesterday. “I don’t think they are going to come to war,” Lee said. “The dynamics are quite horrendous … therefore, I don’t think (a war) will happen.”
Singapore was among the Asian territories overrun by Japan during World War II.
But the tiny South-East Asian country now enjoys strong economic and diplomatic ties with both Japan and China.
