From the Times of India:
The Chinese government recently urged the governments of India and Pakistan to improve their relations with one another.
“We hope India and Pakistan would cooperate with each other to ensure regional stability and fundamental interest of the two peoples” Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said on Tuesday. The two countries should “improve relations to promote peace in South Asia,” she said.
Relations between India and Pakistan have gotten increasingly tense after the 2008 Mumbai attacks. In December, China sent a delegation to Pakistan to help diffuse tensions.
