China’s netizens swell to 103 million

The number of netizens in China rose to 103 million by late June this year, majority subscribing to ADSL broadband internet service, latest government figures have shown.

China’s netizen base has risen to 103 million by June this year, said Mao Qian, head of Optical Telecommunications Committee of China Telecommunications Society, citing statistics from a just-finished report based on the 16th survey into the development of the Internet in China.
