A man stabbed to death six primary school students and injured seven in Fujian today, Xinhua reports:
The injured children were taken to hospital, where their conditions were described as stable, said a statement from the publicity department of Nanping Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Police had arrested a middle-aged man in connection with the 7:20 a.m. attack. The statement said he was a former community clinic doctor, who had been dismissed from his post and allegedly had mental problems.
