Repression.com

The Columbia Political Review, published by students at Columbia University, has posted an essay on the Internet in China called Repression.com.

The article concludes on an optimistic note:
“While the picture may still be bleak today, there is hope for the future. Chinese people are beginning to push against the government online, and the government is beginning to relent in pushing back. That is a step in the right direction for China and another sign of the Internet’s potential as a tool for positive, democratic political change.”

I’m glad to see that China Digital News is quoted in the article. Thanks for the link, which came to us via China Herald.
