China on Tuesday said a visit by members of Taiwan’s main opposition party, the Kuomintang, to mainland China was positive for cross-Strait relations.
The 34-member group, led by Chiang Pin-kung, a vice chairman of the Kuomintang, or Nationalist Party, was welcomed enthusiastically by hundreds of people Monday at the start of a visit to try to ease tensions at one of Asia’s most dangerous flash points.
