The Korea Herald :Advisers quit over Chen’s ‘soft stance’ on China

From The Korea Herald : The Nation’s No.1 English Newspaper:

Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian has come under fire from pro-independence supporters following his pledge last week not to declare independence for the island during his term.

Four presidential advisers said Tuesday they would quit over what they see as President Chen’s ‘softer stance towards China’.

‘I can’t deal with this person any more,’ said Mr Koo Kuan-min as he announced his decision to quit. Mr Koo is a wealthy pro-independence diehard who helped finance Mr Chen’s political campaigns.
